Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information "Constitution of India: Updated" ("App", "we", "us") collects, how it is stored, and how it is used. We believe that legal reference materials should be privacy-respecting and transparent. Reading the Constitution and using search features does not require creating an account or submitting personal information.

1. Information We Collect

  • Account Information (Optional): If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture provided by Google/Apple via Firebase Authentication solely to sync your bookmarks across devices.
  • Bookmarks & Reading Preferences: Articles, sections, custom notes, and display settings (such as dark mode, text size, and language selection) are stored locally on your device for offline availability.
  • Usage Analytics: We use Google Firebase Analytics to collect aggregated, anonymous telemetry (such as app open frequency, screen navigation, and crash logs). This information is tied to an anonymous installation identifier and is used strictly to diagnose bugs and improve app stability.
  • No Advertising SDKs or Tracking: The application does not include third-party advertising SDKs, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

2. How We Use Collected Information

We use collected data strictly for the following purposes:

  • To synchronize your bookmarked Articles and notes between your personal devices when you sign in.
  • To verify and activate your optional Premium subscription entitlements across your devices.
  • To diagnose application crashes and ensure seamless offline reading performance.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We rely on reputable industry infrastructure providers to support the App:

  • Google Firebase Authentication & Analytics: For secure sign-in handling and anonymous app telemetry. Handled in compliance with Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Apple App Store & Google Play Store: For in-app purchase and subscription transactions. All financial details (credit cards, bank accounts) are processed directly by Apple or Google; we never receive or store your financial credentials.

4. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We never sell, rent, monetize, or trade your personal information to third parties or data brokers. Information is shared only with the trusted cloud services mentioned above to the minimum extent necessary to operate the application.

5. Data Retention & Deletion Rights

All local bookmarks and preferences remain on your device until you clear app data or uninstall the App. If you created an account and wish to permanently delete your profile, bookmarks, and associated records from our servers, you may submit a deletion request anytime to contact@constitution.co.in. Deletion requests are processed promptly within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

The App is designed for students, legal professionals, and the general public. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please notify us immediately so we can remove it.

7. Updates to This Policy

We may revise this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect app improvements or regulatory updates. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
